Surat: A 14-year-old Bangladeshi lady was rescued from a therapeutic massage parlour in Surat and three individuals had been arrested for allegedly trafficking and forcing her into prostitution, police stated on Saturday. Teams from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and Surat crime department rescued the minor lady and a 20-year-old girl, a local of Punjab, from a therapeutic massage parlour within the metropolis’s Althan locality on Friday, a criminal offense department official stated.
The victims had been allegedly trafficked and compelled into prostitution, the official stated. Three individuals, together with the proprietor of the therapeutic massage parlour, had been arrested, whereas 4 others are wished for his or her function in trafficking the Bangladeshi lady to Surat through Bengaluru and Mumbai, he stated.
Acting on a tip-off, the town crime department and AHTU shaped separate groups to find the minor and a raid was carried out on the institution, the official stated. The arrested accused included Ankitbhai Kantheriya, the proprietor of the institution, and his mates Vijay Padhara and Vishal Vankhede, he stated.
The accused have been booked underneath sections 370(A) (for trafficking minor for sexual exploitation) and different related sections of the IPC, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, the official stated.
