Mumbai is more likely to face heavy rain between Monday and Wednesday subsequent week.

Financial capital Mumbai is more likely to face heavy rain between Monday and Wednesday subsequent week, the India Meteorological Department stated on Saturday.

Along with Mumbai, another Maharashtra districts, together with Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Beed, Latur and Osmanabad will witness heavy to very heavy rain.

“Possibility of Very hevy to extremely heavy rains over Konkan including Mumbai, Thane, NM from 2-5 Aug Ghat areas too,” senior climate official KS Hosalikar tweeted.

Parts of Nanded, Hingoli, Parbhani, Jalna, Sangli and Aurangabad are additionally more likely to obtain mild to reasonable rain until August 5, the IMD forecast added.

As per IMD classification, “heavy to very heavy rainfall” means precipitation starting from 64.5 mm to 204.Four mm in a interval of 24 hours.
