Over 75 Cows Die Of Suspected Food Poisoning At Rajasthan Shelter

78 cows have died on the privately-run government-aided cattle shelter in 24 hours (Representational)


A complete of 78 cows belonging to a privately-run government-aided cattle shelter in Churu district have died of suspected meals poisoning within the final 24 hours, an official mentioned on Saturday.

Whereas 78 cows have died since Friday night time, a couple of others are sick, mentioned an official of the state’s Animal Husbandry Division.

Prima facie, the animals died of meals poisoning, mentioned Animal Husbandry Division’s joint director, Dr Jagdish.

He mentioned the groups of the division are current within the cow-shelter situated in Bilyubas Rampura village in Sardarshahar.


The fodder samples have been collected for testing, he added.

The loss of life of such a lot of cows occurred on a day earlier than ‘Gopasthmi”, a competition devoted to cows and Lord Krishna.
