The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee will vote on Wednesday to require the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to rapidly disclose threat assessments after deadly air crashes in a bid to considerably tighten trade oversight.
Senate Commerce Committee chairman Roger Wicker, a Republican, and the committee’s prime Democrat Maria Cantwell, mentioned on Friday they’d agreed on a bipartisan sequence of sweeping reforms to how the FAA certifies new plane, based on the 70-page joint proposal seen by Reuters.
